Big crowd at Hardin Cemetery north of Highway 6 today, east of Council Bluffs. Multi-generational, with refreshments for all afterwards, especially the fine rifle and bugle crew from Lamar Hartje American Legion Post No. 725. Great to see so many families assembled to remember our fallen patriots.

Also attended Memorial Day Service today at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery on Highway 92 west of Treynor, Iowa, conducted again by American Legion Lamar Hartje Post #725. Nicely attended, with liturgical prayer service after military program.
